Your Feedback Matters â Update on Xbox One, Xbox One, Xbox, Microsoft
The Xbox community complained so bad about a feature that was actually going to benefit alot of people, has just been trashed.
The whole DRM fiasco that people hated so much? It was actually going to allow Xbox users to share games with their friends. While only one person could play the game at one time, anyone in your “circle of friends” could actually have tried out a game you purchased to see if maybe, they would want to get it for themselves. It was also rumored that a friend of your would be able to play one of your games on their xbox while you were already playing the game on yours. That means if you wanted to run co-op in a game with a friend who didn’t have it, it would have actually been possible to do without needing to be on the same xbox.
AND TO PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE, this whole library sharing thing you could do with your friends, may possibly be coming to Steam. go ahead and read this article about the new Steam Beta Client update.
Microsoft started that idea and Valve thought it was a good one. Now that Microsoft has dropped it, there is nothing for Steam to improve upon short of doing it themselves and working the kinks out of it.
This is actually a bad move by Microsoft. I haven’t seen a move this bad since Sony introduced the PSP Go.
if you follow me on tumblr and like my posts a lot i probably have fondly memorized your username and consider you a pal
